LaVonda Willis Daniels of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, passed away, leaving a deep void in the hearts of her family, friends, students, and community.
A devoted educator and administrator, LaVonda spent nearly two decades shaping young minds and leading with compassion. Most recently, she served as a Principal at Cherry Hill Public Schools, where her leadership and warmth touched countless lives. Prior to this, she had been a Principal in the Centennial School District in Southampton, Pennsylvania, and dedicated 15 years to Abington School District as a teacher, mentor, curriculum specialist, and assistant principal.
LaVonda’s educational journey reflected her relentless pursuit of excellence. A proud graduate of Howard University, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications. She furthered her studies at Temple University, Cabrini University, and Gwynedd Mercy University, with aspirations of completing her Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership and Administration in 2025.
Just last month, LaVonda shared a hopeful health update, writing, “Praise report! I had my first neuro appointment on Monday! Everything is looking fine! Yes, Iām still resting and taking it easy! JUST WANT TO TAKE A PRAISE BREAK FOR WHAT JESUS HAS DONE FOR ME!” Her unwavering faith and joyful spirit remained an inspiration to all who knew her.
Tributes have poured in from friends and loved ones. Louise Chris wrote, “Please keep LaVonda Willis Daniels’ family in your prayers šš¾. My God, what a beautiful sweet soul.”
LaVonda was a graduate of Louisville Male High School and studied Curriculum, Instruction, and Technology at Temple University. Her dedication to education was matched only by her deep faith and love for her community.
